cool!!!

I knew that but any information is great!!

that is my 6th great grandfather maybe

or 7th

or 5th

I dont exactly know but one of those numbers

yes the Cadet family is from france, then london, then as young in new brunswick virginia

2
that may be him!!

maybe he was sick and when he said farni or ferney or farnee or forney

maybe how he said it being sick and how it sounded made person who writes names

think that it was spelled vorney

so maybe jacob's accent plus his sickness might have contributed to this spelling

from how it sounded when he said it

and I do think he was sick on the st. andrew ship

None of them! ;D

For you to claim, and use, a coat-of-arms you have to prove an unbroken line of descent from the original armiger.

That is, the person (not family) who was granted the arms.

I dont understand what you said?

but if it's a direct line of ancestry don't I stake some claim to which crest represents my (past) family?

some of my own research

and some from online

honestly I just was curious who
Ephraim Malone Johnson's
1st Wife / my 5th great grandmother who was she

and I saw she was a King (surname) and I was like aw cool!

I gotta try and trace this line!

can anyone help

find a 1722 Virginia passenger list of a Michael Cadet or Michael Cadet Young

son of Francois Cadet and Marie Martha LeGros (French Huguenots)

and a 1718 Boston list of a John Kennedy

descendant of Felix Kennedy 1

and possibly the ___ Great Grandfather
of my 2nd Great Grandfather William Lamar Kennedy
from Coffeyville Mississippi

and a 23 Sep 1752 list for the ship St. Andrew / St. Andrews

for a Jacob Forney Sr. (also seen listed as Farney or Farni or Farnee)

he settled in Lincolnton North Carolina and is the Father of Captain Peter Forney

I found a 3 Sept. 1739 list from the ship Friendship but not the 1752 list

Jacob Forney is my 7th Great Grandfather

Michael Cadet / Michael Cadet Young is my 6th or 7th Great Grandfather

and John Kennedy is possibly my ____ Great Grandfather

John is a descendant / part / has past family from the Scottish Clan Kennedy

so does my Grandmother (my Mom's Mother) her maiden name is Kennedy
and she is from Coffeyville Mississippi

thanks for any help

hello

thank you in advance

if you can provide any help at all

any and all help is for sure appreciated

thank you

~~~~~~~~-------------------------------
my possible King (surname) ancestry was at least from South Carolina, and possibly Georgia,
and maybe even as far back as Devon England, possibly from Alnwick Castle,
or Castle Alnwick, Devon, England
or Dodebrook, Devon / Devonshire, England
~~~~~~~~-------------------------------

anyways

~~~~~~~~-------------------------------
my 5th Great Grandmother is Rebecca King, 1st wife of Ephraim Malone Johnson.
https://www.ancestry.com/genealogy/records/rebecca-king-24-4d7x4
https://www.geni.com/people/Rebecca-Johnson/6000000032315076907
their son, Abraham Malone Johnson, and his wife Thankful Whiteside Johnson,
founded the community of St. Elmo in Chattanooga Tennessee
(they are my 4th Great Grandparents on my Grandfather's (my Mom's Father) Johnson side
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/7367797/abraham-malone-johnson
so she was part of the Johnson family South Carolina,
(maybe she married Ephraim in South Carolina?)
and later of the Johnson family of Chattanooga Tennessee
(or maybe a past (gone from this earth) member of that family by then)
~~~~~~~~-------------------------------

anyways

~~~~~~~~-------------------------------
Rebecca King was born in Pendleton, Oconee, South Carolina, USA on 21 NOV 1806
to Robert King and Frances Tilly.
Rebecca King married Ephraim Malone Johnson and had 7 children.
She passed away on 9 Apr 1837 in Gainesville, Hall, Georgia, USA.
I was able to trace back all the way to a Henry de Percy Kynge
http://www.thekingealogy.com/tng/getperson.php?personID=I44843&tree=tree1
(\/ is this him too? \/)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Percy,_1st_Earl_of_Northumberland
(/\ is this him too? /\)
but I have no idea if it is right
(I don't know if it is my ancestors or just family connections to the older "Kynge" line)
my last name / surname is Harris, not King, just to let you know
and I am from the state of North Carolina United States of America
and the King surname is from my Grandfather on my Mother's side
so she is my 5th Great Grandmother
my Mother's 4th Great Grandmother
and my Grandfather's 3rd Great Grandmother
and so on and so on
