Welcome to RootsChat  :)

I think this is the 1911 entry for Edwin and family - transcribed as Hault.  Looking at the image, it is obvious that Edwin only signed the form - as Holt - but it is not the same handwriting as the person who completed the form and Edwin's surname is entered as Hault.

From FreeBMD there is a marriage in Cheadle Registration District - September quarter 1892 - Edwin Henry Hoult, Martha Salt appears on the same page (486)

Thanks for all the info, Martha had been married before to Ernest Salt, but he died a few years after they were married, her maiden name was Weaver.

Edwin's father on the marriage certificate is Wm, presumably William, deceased, Occupation Carpenter.
Witnesses Thomas Bowring and Elizabeth Weaver

I am having trouble finding accurate details of my g/grandfather Edwin Hoult (Holt)
Born 1863 New York, I am dubious about the place of birth and date.
Married Martha, nee Weaver 1892
Lived in Longton and Cheadle Stoke on Trent
Children Ernest. Florence May, Lizzie, Lilian, Ethel.
Some records say that he had or worked in a clock repair shop in Longton, also as a bailiff.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
