Cork / O'Connells from Court Macherry
« on: Thursday 20 August 20 14:48 BST (UK)  »
Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find my O'Connells from Court Macherry.

Con O'Connell married Kate White and they had three children:
1) John O'Connell (1859-1913) immigrated to USA between 1880-1883
2) Katherine O'Connell (1866-1926) immigrated to USA between 1880-1888
3) William O'Connell (1863-?)

I found four (4) documents on IrishGenealogy.ie:

1) Church Marriage Record dated January 18, 1857 - Cornelium O'Connell married Catherinam White in the Diocesan Area of Cork & Ross in the Parochial Area of Timoleague, Abbeymahon & Lislee (Barryroe). It appears that the witnesses were Johanna White and Johanna Tobin.

2)  A Church baptismal record for John O'Connell was found showing that he was baptised on April 23, 1860. The record (there were two actually) listed his parents as Cors Connell and Kate White and the godparents as Denis Donovan and Mary White. The record was found in the Diocesan Area of Cork & Ross in the Parochial Area of Timoleague, Abbeymahon & Donoughmore (Barryroe).

3)  A CIVIL birth record in the District of Timoleague in the Union of Clonakilty in County Cork shows that Katherine O'Connell was born on October 31, 1866 in Cullinagh in the Parish of Lislee. Her father was Cornelius Connell of Cullinagh, a labourer and her mother was Kate Connell, formerly White, of Cullinagh.

4)  A church record for the Diocesan Area of Cork & Ross in the Parochial Area of Timoleague, Abbeymahon & Donoughmore (Barryroe) for William, son of Cors Connell and Cathe White, recorded on June 5, 1863. The godparents were Timy Madden and Ellen Neil. Also noted was the town of Cullinagh.

I'd like to know the death dates and cemetery locations for Con O'Connell and Kate White and literally any other information about them. If anyone can help or has any suggestions as to where I can look, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Steve
