Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Is it me?

Is it me, or does it look like the writing on this will look like its slightly cut off on the left hand side?

It looks to me as if it is, but HMCTS Wills think it's all there.  To be honest I am not sure and they may well be correct :-)

Can I have a second opinion?

Many thanks all :-)

Ulcer of mouth
and Throat, 1 month
Diarrheea

Thank you for your quick response, very helpful.  Do you know why an ulcer of mouth and throat led to death?  I wonder if this is something we would give a different name to now? Maybe it was an infection? Although of course diarrhea can result in death, but wonder how that was connected to the ulcer....

You can't post the certificate in full, but you can post a snip of the relevant section.

Apologies, I meant to attach a snip - have attached it to my comment above....

Oh sorry would help if I attached it!!!!  Doh!!

Here it is....

Can anyone tell me what this cause of death says and the two words below it?

I can read that it says "something of mouth and throat, 1 month" then "something something by Robert "Griffith"? then some initials".

It's a 5 month old baby that is deceased if that is any help to deciphering the cause.

Happy to post the certificate in full if that would help and it's allowed, I wasn't sure.

Many thanks

Amended to add snapshot....

Family History Beginners Board / Re: 2 birth records
« on: Monday 12 April 21 20:46 BST (UK)  »
Another possibility is the re-registration of an illegitimate child upon the parents marriage in '71 with a hand written addendum in the '70 index.
There would therefore be a third registration in the mother's maiden name in the '70 index.

Thank you for your reply - so helpful - that's exactly what happened, found the third registration.  Many thanks!

Family History Beginners Board / 2 birth records
« on: Friday 02 April 21 19:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi

What would be the reason why someone would have two birth records - one in 1970 and one in 1971.

The name of the child is exactly the same in both.

In the first record (Jun 1970), the record is handwritten on at the bottom.

In the second record (Sep 1971), the record is printed as normal.

The first registration date is likely to be nearer to the date of birth as another birth has been registered in Dec 1971.

Does anyone know why this would have happened?

Many thanks
