Hi
can someone try and find this boy and his family in the 1901 census for me.
Charles Riding-aged c6-7 years.(i believe he may have been born c 1894)
Im almost certain they live in Newport IoW.By 1903 he is living at 10 Pyle Street Newport so hope fully he's there in 1901.
Im sorry I don't have any more info about him or his parents or siblings.
Thank you to anyone who can help.

Hi,
its a pity Howard is such a common name round those parts, makes it difficult to sort them out!
Coggeshall might be too far from Outwell but you never know. They were in the Outwell/upwell area area by 1788 when there 1st child was baptised(Bishops Transcript) and late as 1803 when their last child was baptised. He married in West Dereham in 1788 although I cant find him there even though there are Howards in West Dereham around then(perhaps I missed him?)I found Williams of around the right date and nearby ,such as Great Massingham 1765,Denver,1752,Mattishall Burgh 1750,Kings Lynn 1755,Hockering 1758,Congham 1758,Stanhoe 1756.All of these seemed probable as they didn't have a burial or I couldn't find a marriage that fitted them later on.Its at times like this you wish theyd started registration(not just at church)and census much earlier.Would have made all our lives easier :)

Hi,
I hope someone can help with this query.
I'm sorry it's vague as the only info I've got is the info on the flyleaf of a book I've inherited.
I'm looking for a H.C de Hersant-sex unknown, but he or she is of school age.
The book in question was a prize for punctuality in the midsummer of 1872 at the North London Collegiate School(I don't think it's the famous girls school as it has a headmasters name ,Chas.Wm. Williams DD.F.R.A.S. inscribed at the bottom of the page and not that of the girls school Headmistress of the time, Frances Buss).
If anyone can give me the slightest info on Mr or Miss de Hersant I'ld be very grateful.
Many thanks,
Trisha. :) :) :)

Hi
can anyone find Upwell Parish records (1788-1800)online other than "pay per view" sites.Unfortunately their not on Lincs to the past or the Norfolk transcription archive.
What I need to find out is if a certain family called the Howards(Father William, mother Elizabeth) were the only family of that name in the village at that time with a son called Thomas.
Hope someone can help.

Hi,
what!! I thought stokers never saw the light of day-lol. ;)
However,it would appear, according to the" Belper news " that they were undergoing "collision training"at that very moment,so that might be why he was on deck.

Trisha :) :) :)
