I also cannot find any further information on Aufery. He is the furthest back relative I seem to be able to go on the Briggs family tree.

Hi, don't know if anyone is still checking this thread but I'm the great great granddaughter of walter briggs and alice johnson. I've been going through family tree info on familysearch.org and a lot of the stuff you mentioned was already on there, but you also added some very interesting details for me on marriages of some of the children etc so thanks. If you want to check it out, go to the website and search for Kenneth David Briggs (ID number GCBL-81J) and you should be able to trace it all the way back. Thanks again!
