Thank you so much! I could not find another Andrew Seline - there are several possibilities that Andrew Seline never came to the US and she married him in Sweden. That is unlikely. The change of names from Seline to Shuleen is interesting. I am beginning to think that it is likely that Johanna and Andrew might have had an affair. According to Ancestry sources  the children were born in Wisconsin. I however see no record for Annie E Selin or her brother Linus. If there is no record of Andrew Seline dying in 1886 in the US then perhaps he did not die - he is Andrew Shulean/Shuleen. Families are complicated! :-) . Seline was the name used by the Olofsson family. There were several from Hassela in Isanti County.

Andrew that married Johanna - but I cannot find any records for that on ancestry or the date of marriage - I do know the children were born in Wisconsin - it is a puzzle because I did believe that Andrew (Anders) Seline was the same as the one in Minnesota. According to one source he died in 1886 presumably in Wisconsin. If you can find any of the records for above that would discount my theory that perhaps Johanna Bystrom never married Seline. All I know for sure is that Annie E. Seline was the daughter of a Andrew Seline and Johanna Bystrom.

I have found more information through distant cousins, but I do not know how reliable it is, but I have a birthday for Annie Seline and that is 2nd May 1884 Hager City Wisconsin, and Linus Seline 01 Jul 1886 Bay City Wisconsin. They refer to Andrew Seline as the father and his death in 1886.

Here is the 1900 census with the children of Johanna Bystrom (Annie E Sellin and Linus Sellin) in the family of Gabriel Thor.

She married Gabriel Thor in Wisconsin in Pepin in 1888. I see no records of her marriage to Andrew Seline nor of the births of Annie E Sellin or Linus Sellin).

I wonder if Per Olofsson Seline 1834 from Hassela who emigrated to US in 1858, and was in Civil War is the same man as Peter Seline/Shellen/ Shulen? If that is the case that would be great. My bio-father's grandmother was Annie E . Sellin. Daughter of Andrew Seline and Johanna Bystrom.

Andrew Seline (1857) married Johanna Persson Bystrom (1863) born in North Sloby Mangakog Sweden. As far as I know.

Thank you so much, you are all so kind. I did an ancestry DNA and somethings did not add up - on my bio Dad's side I am Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and maybe German Askenazi Jewish. However, I have other than my Midland's heritage, recent Scottish and Irish background, and I think that is possibly the father of Joseph Hickmons Brookes 1877. The other point of interest is what happened to all my great aunts and uncles Mary Ann 1901, Joseph 1905, Elizabeth 1908 and David 1910. I could not find records for them. I am thinking that since they were young when my great grandmother died in 1915 they might have been put into care. My grandmother was working though as a servant.

What I am trying to establish is whether Anna had children prior to living with Per Olofsson Seline or where they were married. According to what I found out she was in the US in 1860, but their oldest was born in 1857. He emigrated 17th June 1858. It is possible then that Andrew was not his son. So perhaps there might be an Anders/Andrew with a single mother from Sweden in Minnesota in 1850s? Or she came afterwards.
