My great great grandfather was James McIntosh (Professional Gardener) and his wife was Margaret Foreman (Born In Maryton, Montrose. They married in Newtyle in 1836. My great grandfather was born in Arbroath in 1839. He had a sister Isabella and two brothers, Thomas and William. All were shipwrights be profession. James McIntosh, my great great grandfather dies in his early forties due to an epidemic that swept across Europe in the early 1840's. My great grandfather passed away in Forfar in around 1912. Margaret Foreman remarried later in life and lived in Perthshire. Any family connections? Margaret Foreman's mother was Jane Kidd.

Now there is only one Alexander Kinnel born in Aberdour that could be the father, and using the Scottish naming system, it fits.

Here is the family:
MARGARET KINNELL -  Christening: 01 JUL 1707 Aberdour, Fife, Scotland
ALEXANDER KINNELL - Christening: 14 APR 1713 Aberdour, Fife, Scotland
ROBERT KENNEL - Christening: 23 NOV 1716 Aberdour, Fife, Scotland
JOHN OR THOMAS KINNEL - Christening: 11 SEP 1719 Aberdour, Fife, Scotland
Parents: JAMES KINNELL / JANET HENDERSON

Now there are probably children missing from this couple, but here is the marriage:

JAMES KINNELL - JANET HENDERSON Marriage: 24 MAR 1706 Aberdour, Fife, Scotland

Aexander Kinnell and Janet Knox ar my 4x great grandparents. Their daughter Janet Kinnell married George Davies. Their daughter Helen Davies is my great great grandmother. Helen married Henry Irons and their son John Irons is my great grandfather. John married Anne Arnott and their daughter Anne Irons is my grandmother. I was born and raised in Dunfermline but now live in Vancouver, BC Canada

Alexander Kinnell and Janet Knox were my great great great great grandparents. Their daughter Janet Kinnell was my great great great grandmother and she married George Davie. Their daughter Helen Davie was my great great grandmother and she married Henry Irons. Their son John Irons is my great grandfather and he married Anne Boyd Arnott and my grandmother was Anne Irons. I was born in Dunfermline and emigrated to Vancouver, B.C. Canada in 1974 and have returned close to twenty times over the years. I would enjoy hearing from any family members. Tom McIntosh

P.S. I have a photo of Helen Davie as an elderly lady in Markinch
