The Common Room / Re: Martin Wade-Kilkerrin
« on: Saturday 10 July 21 16:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
Replying to the post of Martin Wade-kilkerrin
West of Ireland, Mayo/Galway border. (WADE surname)
Conry/Conroy nee Wade married 1860 approx plus or minus ??
I am trying to locate a "Wade" surname lady. She married Edward (NED) Conry/Conroy approx 1860 plus or minus. She died a young lady. She had no Family. Edward (NED) farmer 32 yrs old when he remarried later in 1865 to Margaret Hamrogue 20 yrs old from South Mayo.  I am not sure if this "Wade" lady came from the Connemara/Clonbur general vicinity.   I maybe wrong.
Not fully sure of the correct "Wade" spelling? Waide/Waite.....???
Possible burial somewhere on the Mayo/ Galway border.
Ned Conry was not buried with her. Edward/Ned died in 1907 from the Ballytrasna/Neale/Ballinrobe. (Farmer) He is buried in the old Kilmolara cemetery close to the Neale village with his second wife.
I am FULLY SURE that she had some form of relations living in the general area of south mayo/north Galway border in 1907.
I guess the Wade family/relations emigrated after 1907.
Any small piece of information would be appreciated.
Regards. Martin Conroy

Galway / Re: Conroy's from Rosmuc
« on: Sunday 20 June 21 20:22 BST (UK)  »
Thank you KG for your very helpful links. Great help...... Thanks again.
With so many Conroy's in the 1901 & 1911 census, I am unable to pinpoint my Conroy family with the Grealish and Nee surnames?. I know that they are connected through marriage.
I also know that an Edward (Ned) (Conry married a WAITE/WATE?? lady from the Connemara general area of Galway/Mayo border around 1858???.(Maybe Clonbour area)
She died  shortly afterwards a young woman. She had no family. Edward (Ned) Conry born about 1828? died 1907, remarried around 1861?? with 11 childern later. The youngest was my grandfather born in 1884. Most  of the 11 childern emigrated all over the world.
Ned's father was Hugh/Hughie Conry died 1880 aged 84 years. Hughie's wife was "Butler" They later lived around the Neale/Kilmaine/Ballinrobe area. (Ballytrasna) in the early 1900's. There old ancestry people are from the general areas around Rosmuc Co Galway.
There would also have being connections with Castletown, Neale, Co Mayo early 1900's  .
Its just a guess that maybe, Barbara Conroy and Hughie were brother & Sister.???
Hopefully somebody my have some knowledge about the above.
Regards, Martin Conroy.

Hi,
I am looking for ancestry/relations to a marriage of Thomas Grealish born 1810 died ?? to Barbara Conroy born ?? Died ??. there son Anthony Grealish born 1834 married Bridget Mannion born 1838.  I believe they had 9 childern. All born in the general vicinity in the Rosmuc/Tourlough areas of Co Galway.
Did Barbara Conroy have any brothers or sisters?
Does anyone know where Barbara Conroy's family links up in the 1901 & 1911 census ?.
