I use this site(the free version) .I have Spanish ancestors, and like other users I also use a Spanish site.I have found Geneanet very useful in combination with the other site.Of course you wouldn't take someones word without checking, just like on other sites. You will also come across name collectors!!

I fear that this man is going to cause me more problems than I expected, but trying to find him will keep me out of mischief I suppose.

I am very grateful for all the replies.I am trying to keep an open mind. When I found the crew lists I was very surprised to see Belfast as the place of birth. I would normally have thought that the entry was for someone with the right name and age, except for the fact that the address was correct.
If he was born in Belfast/Down would that mean Belfast City ,or a wider area?

Thank you both. I supplied the information on the Ros Davies site.
When the records are released by The National Library next month, they will have to be searched by parish.I do not know which parishes would be the best ones for me to search as I cannot find out which ones are in both Belfast and County Down.

Thank you. The person I am looking for is Thomas Fearon. He was born about 1858 and his father was Matthew (a farmer) .I am interested in finding his baptism which may give his mother's name.
