Hi Whipby,

Is Jane Elizabeth's son called Joseph? Was his Step father James Blades?
If so, I have attached a photo of Joseph.

I have the birth certificated for George who was born in Middlesbrough in 1863. In the 1871 census, David has remarried and is in Middlesbrough and I have confirmed it is him.
When he remarried he was an Iron Shingler. On the census he was supposed to be 44 in 1871, so that would make his birth year 1827.
In the 1871 census, there is only one child, George, living with David. It is possible there could be older ones, but I'm not sure.

Many thanks for looking, Freya14.

Hi Arranroots, you're right, there are so many of them!

David's wife's maiden name was Bowen, which I know from a child's birth certificate. I have found a few possible marriages for them from the BMD records, but I'm not sure yet which one it is.

I have found him on the 1871 census in Middlesbrough, and his birthplace is given as Carmarthen.
By this time, Margaret had died and he had remarried. I found his father's name and occupation from this marriage certificate. David's occupation at this time was an Iron Shingler.

Many thanks, Freya14.

Could someone please look for David Davies on the 1851 Census. I believe he was born in about 1827 in Carmarthen. His father was John Davies, a joiner. However, it is possible he was already married at this time. His wife was Margaret.

Many thanks, Freya14.

I'm looking for Henry Noble, who was born in London (Westminster I think) and should be about 34.
His wife was Margaret, who was born in Middlesbrough, is about the same age.
I believe they were living in Middlesbrough at this time.
Daughter Mary, born Wimbledon, Surrey would be about 13.
Any help appreciated.
Many Thanks, Freya14.

Despite your "mirth", I have found his record, which tallies with him being in India, at the time.
