Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / Re: Thomas Pavis Westley Waterless

That's an interesting one.  I hadn't found any Pavis in Chippenham. The villages are within a 10 mile radius so definitely a possibility. I'll look into it. Thanks.

I think that looks very interesting, thank you. I'd seen Pavis in Ashley but hadn't put it together the way that you have. I'll dig a little deeper.

Eldest son was named Thomas. Others were Adam, John, Alexander (Anne's Father) and Joseph.

Don't know if this helps. Anne was born in 1732 in Burrough Green. She was 87 when she died.

Cambridgeshire Lookup Requests / Thomas Pavis Westley Waterless
« on: Saturday 01 February 20 11:50 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
My 5x great grandfather Thomas Pavis was buried in October 1771 in Westley Waterless. He married Anne Ma(u)lt in 1755 in Burrough Green. She was buried in July 1819 in Westley Waterless. They had 9 children.

That's what I know so far! Now for the bit I'm really stuck on.

I can't find any record of a baptism for Thomas so I have no idea where he came from, how old he was when he died or who his parents were. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would love to hear them. There were several Pavis in Cheveley at the time. I'm not sure if he was connected to them.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Thanks. I didn't mean to cause confusion but as Jane was born in Devon and married in Dorset I thought I'd cast the net wide. Merging the threads is a great idea as I'm also getting confused keeping up with all the marvellous replies!

That is interesting. Things like that turn the names into real people.

Thank you so much Shaun. Looks like you've found a whole family that I couldn't find.
