I often wonder about the vicars on wedding certificates is his family looking at his tree - so I thought I would list some of the names and where they practised to see if anyone would claim them - alternatively if you have a vicar in your family put down where and when he practised or put down some of the vicars on your family tree.

This is an even longer shot - I have an Emma Hatley who married a James Doyle from Dublin.  By 1854 they are in Westminister with daughter Rebecca - could this be an Aunt of your Emma?

Please help
I am trying to find the marriage of James Doyle and Emma Hately, James was born in 1825 Dublin and the first born child Rebecca, I have found for these two was born 12th April 1854.  I have also found the birth certificate for her sister which gives the mother's name as Isabella Hately is this a sister or could it be Emma Isabella?  I also noticed on the younger sister's James signs his name J Doyle rather than put his mark he is carman and on Rebecca's he is a bootmaker.  Could it be a different couple it's Rebecca's I am more interested in.

:D Wow thanks guys Sunnicliff, never occurred to me to try different beginnings.  I just been looking at the census I have down in my family looks like the census might have been badly written in 1891 she is down as being 55 and Arthur as being a toyboy then in 1891 their ages matched better.  If it hadn't of been for Rosenia being with them I wouldn't have known it was the same family.  :D

Thanks, yes of course a telephone call would be the best - they're not close (the one without the net is in Australia.) and the one who has a daughter close by whose on the net is in Birmingham I'm in Hull of course the S.A.E goes without saying.

I've heard one of the best things I can do is talk to living relatives - (I see you even have something on roots for that) but I am not sure how to use let alone elderly relatives one who doesn't have the net anyway.

I was thinking about writing a letter and sending a blank cassette, should it be a general Tell me about your life and family or more specific?
