Thank you. Sorry I was unaware that could not ask for 1911 as I have previously asked for other census records.

Thanks for your help.

Please could someone look up Isabella Waddle born Houghton-Le-Spring in 1908.

I seem to have made a huge mistake and looked into the wrong Isabella. I need to get her marriage certificate to check.

Thanks

Alf's oldest son was called Robert. He was known as Bob. That makes sence that he was named after someone in the family.

Wow. Thanks for that. My grampa was Alfred brother to Harold and Isobel. He passed away in June this year. As I said before I heard there was a fall out years ago and there was no mention of my grampa's family. His sisters did go to his funeral, I think one of them may of been Isobel.

Looks like possibly as divorce rather than widowhood, as first hubby doesn't die till 1990, age 87

Death
March 1990
Bradford
4 457
Samuel Archer R Nimmo
age 87

That's what confused me I knew she was not widowed as I remember meeting Samuel Nimmo in my childhood. I knew there was a family feud but did not know any more than that and there was never any talk about that side of the family, other than the family moved from Sunderland to Bradford during the war. I have no idea if the children stayed with their mum or stayed with their dad. A divorce in that time must have been rare?

Am hoping someone might have some ideas.

Isabella Waddle/Waddell - I can find her birth and marriage in Sunderland -plus the birth of her children, the last one been in 1941. the trail then goes cold. I know the family moved to Bradford during the war. I can't find her death (under either surname). What could of happened to her?

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: Census look up please- Hughes

Hi
Hope someone can help. I'm looking for Thomas Hughes c1841 in Ireland. I have found him in 1891 at 6 Prospect Road, Parr, Lancs.

He is living with his wife, Ellen c1839, 2 children Mary, c1869, and John c1871, and his grandson, Peter 1889.

I'd like to know where the family were previous to1891.

Thanks
Rachael

Hi Rachael  :) this post was a few years ago so this is a long shot but I'm looking for the same family!!!
My GGGrandfather was Thomas Hughes b1841 Clifden Galway married to Ellen.
His son Patrick b1866 was my GGrandfather and his youngest son John b1903 my Grandfather.
I'm thinking I've found a relative???
Hope to hear from you soon Patzy.

Wow! Lovely to hear from you.I have not looked at my family tree in ages.
Mary Hughes was my G.Grandmother. Her son Peter was illegitimate but kept him in the family. Mary married Henry Costello and went on to have 11 more children. My grandad Joseph (Joe) Costello was the youngest born in 1910. After the war Joe settled at the other side of the Pennines in Yorkshire.

I have not really researched the tree back earlier as I have no idea where I would go to access Irish records. Im unsure if part of family were born in Westbury or Wednesbury as the census seems to contadict each other.
