Other Countries / russian census??

im trying to do a family tree for my grandad the only problem is his father was from russia ..........he was forced out by the communists in 1917 to which he came to britain, and changed his name from SELIC JAFFE to ALEC JAFFE he married a Winifred Peck. What I'm wondering though is how will i get to see his brothers and sister if its in the Russian census?? im clueless any help and advice please SELIC JAFFE was born in russia in 1880  ???

thank you every so this has really helped me, but also confused me too ??? as Joseph had a wife Clara Jenkins in 1909 in the 1911 census which does not rule out the fact of a divorce. I searched the UK BMD but found no marriage for joe and Hannah ? could it be possible he married in USA ? would you kindly search the BMD and see if my theory is true? thanks Emma x

Could some one please kindly look up a Joseph latchford DOB 1889 born lancashire England he was a miner. On ancestry i find him on 1878-1960 UK INCOMING passengers list, that departed from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on the 23 of November 1923, but sadly cant look at the border crossings from Canada to USA 1895-1956, if some one could kindly look at it for me and tell me what it says for Joseph it would be much appreciated thank you Emma x

hey chris grandad was born in 1923 his mothers maiden name was witter like that not with a h, on free bmd you will find grandad with mothers maiden name on but cant find know more i found lilian witter and william tomlinson marriage cert from 1923 think im gonna buy it, gives more info.

yeah she will have married more than likly but that what you have found on james the head is very intresting its the same james in my family tree i know that by his son you found edward here is the intresting part in 1851 he was married to ellen wallwork so i will need to search death record for ellen and a marriage record for james

please will some one look up ellen wallwork born 1834 tyldesley lancs i have her in the 1851 census just cant trace her ware abouts after  her mum are called james 1807 and ellen 1804 wallwork. cheers emma
