Thanks for your continued interest in this. Most helpful. I can confirm that what you found was the baptism of Leonard Charles Chivers. He was born before his parents married and changed his surname to Stacey after they married. He was an older brother to my Mum, Mollie and Leslie Stacey.
Thanks again.
Alan

Good Morning All. (GMT)

Thanks for all your messages yesterday.
Two things you might be able to help with.
Leslie's obituary if one exist, and any record of any children he had with his first wife.
Did his first wife die?
Tall order.

The 1921 census reveals this.
Wilfred Leslie Stacey and his younger sister Mollie Irene Stacey are inmates in an institution in Glastonbury. There parents are also living in Glastonbury.
My mum Dorothy Lily Stacey 1904 to 1981 is in a girls home near London.
My Mum never spoke her earlier life. I think now it was too painful for her.
Leonard Charles Chivers/Stacey has left Somerset and working on the fishing fleet out of Fleetwood.
Hope that helps.
Please keep asking
Alan

I like you was just about certain that the person that married Mary Elizabeth Osborne was my uncle Wilfred Leslie Stacey.
The the other marriage!
I would be good if a contact could be maid with any cousins who might have a little more detail.
Thanks
Alan

Thank you for that great bit of information.
Mary's husband was Leslie Wm could that be Wilfred.
You might be able to advise. In England marriage certificates show the name and occupation of father.
Is that the case in Canada?
If we could find the obituary of Mary husband it might reveal that he came from England.
Thanks again for your help

Looking for information that could tie Mollie Irene Stacey 1935-2016 and Leonard Douglas Stacey 1948-2000 to Wilfred Leslie Stacey born in Somerset, England in 1907.
Thanks

My mother before she was married was Dorothy Lillian Stacey. She had a sister Molly Irene Stacey. They were born in Somerset. Both sisters sisters are deceased.
If my family research is correct Mollie married Samson Booth in Hastings in 1938.  Looking for any descendants of Molly. I understand from research that some remained in the Hastings area.
The surname that come out of the research as well as Booth is Dyer.

Thanks
