Thank you  ev,  luckily the south African  family seems to be well documented.

Monica thank you so much for all the census info.  Family in South Africa seem to  be bChurch of England or Anglican as we call them here.
Such quick responses are much appreciated,  thanks again.

Hi,
Alexander and Clementina  McDougall had a son Daniel McDougall also known as Donald,  b. 1822 Inverness.   Daniel married   Charlotte McLean in Bathurst, Eastern Cape South Africa   and died  10 March 1843  Grant's Valley, Kenton-on-Sea, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

To help a friend  keen to know more about her Scottish rooots I would appreciate any information about  Alexander and Clementina McDougall as we have no other information about them.

There may also be a Ballachullish connection  as a family member corresponded with someone in that area ca 1020s.

Thank you

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Re: Sam MORTIMER
« on: Friday 02 July 10 16:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi
My great aunt Annie Mortimer m. Sam Mortimer who was born in Bradford ca 1848. Sam  a stuff merchant  lived at 57 Ash Grove Bradford.  He died 11 January 1901 aged 52 by which time he had remarried and lived at Final Royd, Birkenshaw,  Yorkshire.    I have not heard that he was a musician.
His twin son Reginald Andrea MORTIMER married Annie CROMPTON 3 April 1920
at Little Horton Congregational Church, Horton Lane Bradford.  I have not traced any children. I have no idea if he bought  Leeds Hall after WW2.  I have heard there was a football referee called Reg Mortimer but again I do not know if my relative was the same man.
Sorry I have no more information about Reginal Andrea.  Regards,  Babs

Hi
Is there anyone who could check the burial registers  for Weare cemetery at Taunton Record Office please.?
Isabel Jane NICKELS died at Stone Allerton  5th August 1927 aged 59  and I am told by a person living there that she is most likely buried at Weare.  She would have belonged to the Church of England.
Many thanks

Is there any chance  an Elijah Watts could appear in this directory?  He was in the Army and I am not sure if residents would appear.

England / Re: Mary Emily ORMANDY

I think I lost my reply to you!
I have found  2 children for Mary Emily WATTS but so far no joy with living relatives.
Frances Annie  Ormandy m. John Thomas HARVEY  and  later George YORKE.  Gertrude Margaret Watts Ormandy m.  Harry WEDDERBURN.  Trouble is very ordinary names.  They  later moved to Newcastele where Magaret  Wedderburn was born.
Cannot really narrow down the dates  for M. E. as there are quite a few about.
Thanks so much for your help
