I've hunted down Italian birth certificates and church baptisms before but you need to have an idea of the province and the commune to get anywhere. Hunting on other sites hasn't given me any clues.
Maybe Naples or Candida based on places of birth of US residents of a similar birth date.

Essex Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage in Coopersale 17 Jul 1915
« on: Wednesday 20 January 21 17:26 GMT (UK)  »
Married under the name  Giosue Rigione. date of marriage 17th July 1915 aged 30. Father recorded as PASUALE Regione. He and May appear on 1939 war register. Giosue died 1965 aged 79. Think they had a son George James at some point as there's an Essex baptism(no Date) with parents Guisne & May

Thank you

There's a family of Reggioni boys in Marylebone in 1911 running a restaurant - they're Swiss. Can't find them on Familysearch to give yuo a link. Not Giosuo, but a Eugene the right age

Any clues on the marriage cert - witnesses, occupation?
Thank you.  I don't think that's the family.  No commonalities there.
I don't have the marriage cert for witnesses.  May need to get that.  Giosue was a Mosaic Floor Layer [1939 Register].

I'm trying to find the place of birth and info on Giosue Reggione.
From his marriage I have his father as Pasquale.  I don't think he was in the UK before 1911 as he is not on that census.  All I really have is his marriage and a record of him in the 1939 register.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA.

US Lookup Requests / GIBSON birth lookup
« on: Friday 27 September 13 08:07 BST (UK)  »
Hi folks,

I am trying to find a 1871 or pre 1871 record of John Henry Gibson, a Mariner born in USA father George Gibson, a Shipwright.  John Henry Gibson was born 1841-1852 (his year of birth varies widely for the records I have). His mother may have been called Mary Ellen but that is based on the names of his children, so more possible/plausible than fact. He married Frances Williamson in Liverpool, UK in Oct 1871 and then seems to reside in the UK from then on.

Can anyone help please?
