Thank you, will go and see if I can find him on a census.  Do you think that's a double barrelled name then?

Thank you.

I'm trying to find a Theophilus Williams, that was hit over the head and died, around 1948/49, in Glamorganshire, although I am not sure the year is correct.

I have had much luck at Colindale but thought it would save me a trip.  I'm not even sure if it would be in the West Wales Observer.

I'm interested in viewing the West Wales Observer for 1948/49, would I be able to do this online?

I've looked at the British Newspapers Archives but can't find it there.

Hi Yorkslass,

A dilema me thinks, the one I latched on to was the one that gave no address, just Dr Williams Library and gave William Francis's wife Frances  father as Richard Marshall.

Like you did I think I could subscribe somewhere and look at it but maybe it too wouldn't tell me any more than I've found out already.  But, maybe it might just say Colchester :) :)

Will, have another think about it tomorrow now.

Thank you.

Hello Yorkslass,

Just one final question, do you think William Francis b1817 christening place Dr Williams Library could be my William?

Hello Yorkslass,

I hope this wont be the last time I leave a message for you.

I feel I need a week to get all my Francis's in place and spread out my certificates and copies of everything I have on them all over my dining room table and floor and shut the front door and 100% concentrate on what I am doing, but you must know yourself life isn't like that with so many distractions and things to do during the day.

I'm sure I will get there in the end, none of them seem to want to hide themselves like some of my ancestors have, so I think it is just a question of perseverance on my part.

I wish you good searching on your Yarmouth and Essex ancestors.  If ever you think I could be of any help in your search just let me know.  I know one day I am going to have to go to Essex for another part of my tree, so maybe I would be able to look up something for you.

Once again thank you so very much for all your help.

Hi Yorklass,

Thank you for checking out William Adderley Francis.

I was looking for another Francis to do with Albina when I saw a William Francis born in Essex, so I wondered if maybe, just maybe, William jnr's father lived in Essex.

Yes, William and Harriet Baldry are 100% correct.

If ever (when) I solve the mystery you will be the first to know.  And thank you so much for all your help.
