I am not sure this is my Charles Jones at this stage. 1851 census he was living in Birmingham but on this census he was born in Handsworth. I will continue to look, ideally i would like to find a birth record to identify father and mother if possible

Thanks everyone for your help

Staffordshire / James Male married Anna maria (surname unknown) born Staffordshire

Can anyone help me to identify a marriage record for James Male and Anna Maria

Ideally fathers names would help, otherwise a surname for Anna Maria

1851 census
St Giles In The Fields, Middlesex, England
James Male   Head   Male   35   Somersetshire
Ann Maria Male   Wife   Female   36 Staffordshire
Edward Male   Son   Male   13   Bristol,
James Male   Son   Male   7   St Giles,
John Hy Male   Son   Male   4   St Giles,
I think John Hy Male could be John Henry Male

Thank you
Helena

Thanks Trish and Milliepede

I can't find him either until he gets married and have never found a record for his parents on a census or anywhere else. I have birth certificate then marrriage certificate

I have this info but cannot find a connection to these people either,

In the 1861 Census, William and Annie, newly married, are sharing a dwelling with an Ann CHAPMAN age 50 (b abt 1811) marrried, Laundress,  but no husband there  - b Nailsea Somerset, and her 2 daughters. Lyriel 23 and Emma 10

Ann Chapman 1851 census she might be a Harris as daughter Charlotte has Harris as a middle name on this census

Hi

The name Mary Thomas is from the actual birth certificate. William their son did not have middle name Thomas on the birth certificate but he used it as a middle name on other records through his life.

Thanks

Hello

I am looking for information on Mary Thomas born sometime around 1800 to about 1820.

Mary Thomas married William Male and they had a son William Thomas Male b. 1838 St Augustine, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. I have a lot of information on William Thomas Male and his family. What I am looking for is his parents marriage record and a birth/baptismal record for both his parents.

I am also interested in this Sweet/Thomas family below as there could be a connection on my Thomas line

John Sweet married Elizabeth Thomas 1790 St James, Bristol, Gloucestshire, England
John and Elizabeth had a son James Joseph Sweet and he married Mary Hawkins Thomas 1827
St James, Bristol, Gloucestshire, England

Mary Hawkins Thomas, her father was William and mother Elizabeth her surname is unknown but could be Thatcher (grandson's middle name) or might be Hawkins these are options

I also have Hawkins family from Bitton and back further the Sweet family have connections to Bitton. So I wondered if there was connection with these families

I have been looking for a long time so any help on getting a marriage record or birth record for William Male or Mary Thomas would be appreciated and any potential links on the Thomas lines above. These families could have Somerset connections also.

Hi

If you are still here and looking there is this book it wont give you much but I managed to access the first pages and it gave me Robert's father and brothers and a little overview

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clan-Buchanan-family-Northern-Ireland/dp/1479397768

I could look inside the book and choose first pages

I am not related although I do have family from Raloo, I do have a drummond link and have looked at your Ellen Drummond in the past and have not been able to connect
