if Samuel had been dead when Esther got married would they off put deceased in the column

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have ancestry subscription but for the last week it's not allowed me to look at census images, not sure if the problem is with ancestry or my computer.

I am trying to find Samuel Morgan, he was an innkeeper and I think he may of lived in Lambeth, surrey, his daughter Esther Catherine Morgan married William Bevan in 1860 in the parish of Bishops Castle, Shropshire, on the 1861 census her place of birth is Lambeth,Surrey, I presume Samuel was still alive when Esther married, it does not say he was deceased on her marriage cert.
Not sure of Samuels d.o.b but Esther was born about 1835.

Kind regards

Aberdeenshire Lookup Requests / Re: Bruce/Hadden

Hi Jan,
just to let you know, I have found Mary Hadden,it was the one that was with her sisters Christian and Ann ( Rannie ) a very nice lady called Kenjo found all the census years, I then checked for all theirs deaths and Mary's marriage to Ernest Bruce and the parents names were the same on them all.
I now need to find Mary Ann's birth father William, bit of a needle in a hay stack seems there were a lot of William Bruce's around the area.

Thanks for your help.

Jan,Piglet & Kenjo,

I would like to thank you all so very much for all the help you have given me, I was going round in circles and was meeting myself coming back !!!!!!                 so Mary Ann Bruce was the step daughter of Ernest Bruce and her mother married him in 1859 I now need to find her birth father ( there are rather a lot of William Bruce's ) at first I thought he may of been Ernest's brother, but cant find a William being born to that family, he could of been a cousin but there again the name is very common.
My thanks to you all again.

Hi Jan,
yes I have looked at the image and it does look like margt, but you are right that she may of been called that, I will now go back to the census and chase the family up to see what I can find.
