Thanks again Sandra,

I hadn't gone that deep into this family to find out further descendants and had instead concentrated on the English ancestry.
But, seeing as you have found more - any idea on Joyce's husband's name ?
Also, I have all the siblings except Bill.

Joe 39 :) ;) :D

Hello SY1,

I am still active but not found anything new to post recently.
Here is what I have on George -
Their child, George David Dacre, born 17 July 1921 Edmonton Alberta, died 10 June 1935 Kamloops BC age 13, buried Pleasant Street Cemetery Kamloops.
Other children are believed to be - William Albert Edward (born 2 May 1926), Richard, Thomas, Clara and Joyce.

Hello Sandra,
Very many thanks for the additional information you have given me.
This has set me off on a new train of enquiries - exactly what was needed for a wet miserable May Saturday and to keep me away from the news etc.
Kind regards,
Derek (alias Joe39)

Hi Wendy,
Nice to hear from you.
I'm sorry but I can't find any connection with your Flemings.
My Flemings came from Rydal & Grasmere and moved to Liverpool pre 1800.
Regards,
Joe

I have found the death of one of their children, George David Dacre, tragically killed in a railroad yard accident in Kamloops in June 1935.
I believe there were possibly two or three more children who possibly lived in Port Coquitlam.

Can anybody help with my research into this family or that of WILLIAM HENRY DACRE and FANNY ELIZABETH GAMBLE.

Seeking further information on WILLIAM EDWARD BACKHOUSE born England, baptised St Peter Liverpool  12 April 1857, emigrated to Australia in August 1860 with parents Edward and Sarah.
Believed to have married FANNY FLORENCE REDMAN at Landsborough, Victoria in 1881.
Any information on parents and children would be welcome.

Hi Nookie,

Thanks for your two replies.
As far as I know William didn't had a second name/initial but I have known people to add these later.
Can you tell me which church you found him taking the funeral ?

I am looking through the archives website you mentioned (web address seems to have changed !) and taking steps to trying and obtain any relevant documents.

Derek.

Thanks very much Nookie, you're a star.

As usual with FH this raises more questions - didn't know there was a daughter !
Maybe I have a living relative over there !

Joe.
