The Lighter Side / Re: England/Wales Death index 1989-2019 on Ancestry.

"I usually try to double check by doing an obit search and a probate search. Not always successful but at least it’s a second verifiable source."

In this case, it's not a case of not knowing the correct date. I do know it, it's a case of wrongly interpreted data.

I don't think it's been transcribed by a human, Wilmington Millenium appears to be a data company.

It hasn't been reproduced in the American way, it actually says 3 September 2017!!! In words and figures!

Beware of using this! My late Mother's death entry reads that she died on 3 September 2017. (03/09/2017). She didn't. She died on 9th March 2017, (09/03/2017). If they have all been transcribed like this, they will all be wrong.

I really enjoyed the Smokey Robinson episode. What a lovely man. He was so interested in the research, and he reacted positively to everything he was told. Much better than some of the actors episodes!!

I've really enjoyed this series. I would also like to wish David P. a long and happy retirement.
I agree with the comments about background music ( if you can call it music!) being too loud. The episode where someone was being interviewed with the background of a P&O cruise liner was ruined for me by not being able to hear what was being said.

Hi california dreamin!
I'm glad it's not just me that's finding it a bit of a chore! I don't know who they think is going to add all this info, but if it is mostly going to be Family Historians, like me, who have already done the research on these people, then I am not prepared to do the research again from their records, which is going to mean a payment after the first 3 months. Also, the e-mails I have received back from them when I've sent queries haven't made much sense.I will persevere for now, because I think it's a great idea, and I have info and facts to add from my own family which I think should be on there. My Great-uncle, who survived the war, and I knew, left a detailed diary of his action and injuries. I'll see how it goes, but I won't be buying their credits!

I'm enjoying the new series too, but I found the background music in yesterday's episode very annoying, particularly when the researchers in the Fraser and Fraser office were talking.
