I would be grateful if anyone could help provide any information from any trade directories for late 18th C - pre 1840 period for Southwark Surrey for the following ancestors.

John Fuller, Carpenter - possibly Duke Street, St George's, Southwark
William John Fuller, Shoe/Boot maker - possibly Lomans Street, Southwark
Thomas Ruddock, Carpenter or Cabinet/Furniture  Maker - possibly Duke Street, Southwark.

Happy new year.

Kind regards, Neil

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Broughton Astley Parish Records - William MIDDLETON

Sandra

Hello - I came across your link after following a branch of my family tree.

William Middleton had 6 children of which Thomas Middleton (b. March 1856)was one. Thomas married Elizabeth Jemima Ruddock in August 1878, Nottingham. Elizabeth J Ruddock was the daughter of Elizabeth Fuller (b. 1813, Southwark, Surrey) and the sister of William John Fuller (my direct ancestor). I have some information about the Ruddock's and a little info about the Middleton's but generally following the Fuller line.

Hope this is of some interest and let me know if I can help with more details.

Happy new year,

Kind regards, Neil

Thanks Amanda. Will do - probably tomorrow evening. If you've got any more info about Ann Smith happy to look up when I go. Given the surname I might need a bit more to go on to narrow it down.

Kind regards, Neil

Many thanks Jane - very kind. It looks like a visit to the LMA is the best way forward.

Many thanks for this Jane - very helpful. I'll get in touch with the LMA in the first instance.

Can anyone advise whether Pallot's Marriage Index covers St George the Martyr, Southwark for this 1785 - 1820 period?

Kind regards, neil

Surrey / St George the Martyr marriage records

My Gt3grandad William John Fuller was baptised at St George the Martyr, Southwark in 1808. I'm keen to look for any records of the marriage of his parents (John Fuller & Sarah) and any siblings - hoping they will also be within this parish.

Does anyone know where I need to look for St George the Martyr parish records for the period c1785 - 1820 period? , ideally free (and happy to travel to areas) but okay if on-line pay per view.

I am researching my family tree and discovered my ancestors were living at 3 Upper Swan Court, St Saviour, Southwark back in 1841-1851. Does anyone know where Swan Court is with reference to current roads?. I can't find it on maps and it would be good to know. My relative is Mary Fuller who was listed as a schoolmistress, so if there is any way of finding out where she may have worked I would also be grateful.
