Thank you the this link. I have found some Horsleys which I have traced back to the area in the 1700s!  :)

I would appreciate a look up please for the baptism of John Lambert Horsley on 2/9/1779 at St John's Church, Colwick. This has appeared on someone's tree online and I need to verify it please. Parents are John and Mary. Thank you! Ceejay 😊

Thank you Philip - that is worth me pursuing although the family in Dartford do seem to be a different line and so far most of the family I am looking for are in the Sevenoaks to Maidstone corridor. This may however be the link!  :)

Kent Lookup Requests / Thomas Holmden
« on: Wednesday 08 January 20 02:06 GMT (UK)  »
Have found a christening for a Thomas Holmden in 1792 at All Saints, Maidstone. His parents are noted as being Thomas and Elizabeth. This may tie in with Holmden births 1798, 1800 and 1803 to an Elizabeth Holmden in Seal - Charles, John and Susan Ellis but only Elizabeth is noted. Can anyone find a marriage for Thomas Holmden to Elizabeth and if any more baptisms between 1792 and 1798 please. The records online are sketchy!

Husband Joshua Aspin Born July 19th 1834
Wife Susannah Aspin Born Nov 25th 1832
Married Sept 2 1858 at St Pauls Church, Dale Hall, Burslem.

This would tie in with the deaths registered in Macclesfield district.  My thoughts are that it is worth looking into Sarah's death to see who registered it but can this be done without having to purchase a death certificate?  I suppose it is worth looking through obituaries but would I be looking at a Staffordshire or Cheshire newspaper?  Thank you for your help!
