Good mornning gaffy.Thank you for all of your help. My thought is that they might have temorarily lived in Ireland and were actually Scottish.Would it be possible to move this topic to the Scottish section where I might possibly get other answers? I appreciate any help anyone offers! ;)

His parents were James McIntyre and Catherine Pendergrass.  I have a date of 1/7/1854 in Ireland and death was 7/11/1940 in Pa.  Catherine Pendergrass was born 12/18/1857 in Muiravonside,Stirlingshire,Scotland, and died March 31,1928,in Sugar Notch,Pa. I'd be most grateful for any information you can give me!I can't be sure what I have here is correct! Their oldest daughter Catherine is my husbands paternal grandmother. I've been often told that she and her husband William Watt were first cousins.

you could try Scotlands People, but you have to pay.I haven't been on here in a couple years, but there should be an area where you can post who you are looking for and the area of Scotland, and possibly get a reply. The moderators here are quite helpful!

Also I've learned that many times names are misspelled which can make things difficult too.

I'm picking this up again as I have a tad more information thanks to ancestry which gives and birthdate of July 1856 in Ireland. It sayss both parents were Irish.James was married in Polmont,Stirlinshire,Scotland to Catherine (Kate,Kitty) Pendergrass. They emigrated to the U.S. in 1883 and resided in Sugar Notch,Pennsylvania. I've been told by family members that their daughter Catherine (Kate) who was their oldest and married to my husbands grandfather William Watt that she often spoke of Nothern Ireland.Any help would be much appreciated! ;)
