Isabella's maiden name is Mckenzie so I don't think that is her in the prison register.  Although the birth date and place of birth seems correct.

Thank you for the place of births.  The read so clearly when someone has suggested what they could be and Dunover & Ballylimp tie in with my suspicions.

Her sister who moved to America put down St. Andrews county Down as place of birth and another part of the family is from Ballywalter, so both Dunover and Ballylimp make sense.

I have a letter which my great uncle picked up in a ruined house in Nieuwkerke on the 1st October 1915.  The letter is written from someone who lived in Le Bizet (Nr Armentieres) to his brother and sister, asking them to visit and bring some eggs.  It is dated the 4th September 1914. 

Two things:- 

If you belonged to this family, would you like the letter returned ? 

I am struggling with the surname.  I think it is G Cappaert. 

Can anyone decipher the name any better ?

Hi,  Wondering if anyone can clarify the following?  I have  John Wallace (possibly could be Wallis) but on cenuses in Scotland spelt Wallace born Mullingde County Armagh Ireland father John and Mother Mary Mchon.  I am having difficulty finding this place, I know it could be a spelling mistake so if anyone has knows of something similar any suggestions would be helpful.

Also his wife Jane Wyllie (not sure whether 1 or 2 l's) father Charles and mother Jane Griffin, born Irvine, Linton, Ireland - haven't a clue what county this is in - any clues gratefully recieved.

Hi All,  If possible could somebody check for Mayne Wm p.o.b, Mount Bally Water.  on the Merchant Navy Seamens lists for 1835-1941.  I am interested in this because my Great Grandfather William Mayne b 1858 Belfast CO5215 (Captains Number) marriage certificate has his fathers name as William Mayne and occupation mariner, he also came from Ballywalter, Ireland.  The above seems quite similar although not quite correct, so fingers crossed there could possibly be a connection.
