My Grandfather Robert Smith Colligan Marries 10th June 1927 at Redgorton Manse Perthshire  the family name is now Collington the name change was applied to all the children and  is shown on most documents as " Formerly Colligan" Can anyone tell me if there would be any documentation showing when the name changed or would they just take that Name. Thanks

Thank you all for your efforts I only have the STAR INN on the Scotland 1881Census for Hugh Colligan - Mick Colligan &  Cath Colligan who are my family. I wonder if they simply used the Star Inn as rough Location for other dwellings around it ? Thanks
