Sorry "The Ranch' pictures are under the heading Ballyfermot and not Inchicore.  Hope this is of help to you.  There are lots of them and they're very good.

Also regarding "The Ranch".  Saw lots of pictures of there and of people named in them recently.  Trying to remember where but think it may have been on Flickr under the tag Inchicore.

If you go out of town and come to Emmet Road in Inchicore, you come to a small hill that (used to be, not sure if still) called Spa Road.  This used to house the Vanhool Macardle Bus building depot.  If you go up that hill you come out on Vincent Street.  Right across from you is a complex of flats and they are called Tyrone Place.  There isn't a street or road called Tyrone Place, its the flats.  I know the flats were well established back in the 60's but don't know how long before that.  You may get a picture of them as they are on the road very close to Goldenbridge Convent of Mercy and the now infamous orphanage.  Hope this is of some help to you.

Corinne,
I have just posted under a thread "Parkmore" and have just now read this post by you.  I think my Elizabeth Sinnott is the daughter of the James Sinnott and Martha White you mention who went to England.  I think Elizabeth was a twin.  I would be grateful if you could give me any more information you may have on this side of my family.  Elizabeth was married to my gg grandfather but they had no children together.  She looked looked after his daughter from a previous marriage but story has it that they never got on and the child was sent to boarding school!  But I would be grateful for any information you can give me regarding James and Martha and their children to get the picture of the whole thing.

Many thanks,
Irene.

Hi, I am trying to track down an Elizabeth Sinnott b I think 15 Feb 1835.  The address given on the Rootsireland site is Cronebane, Castlemacadam, Co. Wicklow.  C of I.  I have found Elizabeth married to my gg grandfather, Philip Kinsella on the 1901 census but her address is given as Parkmore, Co. Wicklow.  Does this make any sense to you?
I would be grateful for any information you may have.

Many thanks,
Irene.

Hi everyone,
Just to confuse matters! Mentioned in my previous post was wife of Philip Kinsella who I believed was Elizabeth Norton from Parkmore in Wicklow.  However, Elizabeth Norton was his first wife.  I have since found that he married his second wife also called Elizabeth but maiden name Sinnott in Nov 1883 after the first Elizabeth died the previous August 1883!
I have found a C of I Baptism record for an Elizabeth Sinnott 15 Feb 1835 with an address at Cronebane, in the parish of Castlemacadam in Wicklow.
Could I ask if anybody knows if these places are anywhere near Parkmore in Wicklow?
I am getting the Parkmore bit from the 1901 census which shows her married to Philip Kinsella and aged 66.  Help!!

Thank you very much for that.  Unfortunately my problem at the moment is that the photo has been misplaced with a box of other items in a moving process and until I find it I'm very much going on memory.  Note to all Rootschatters : scan your old photos etc. so you have another copy.  :-[
As soon as this turns up (which I'm hoping it will) I will scan the picture and details to this site and we can go from there.  Thank you again daisyfwillliam for that.  I look forward to getting the details soon.
