No Sir Crispin Gaylord, they were Elizabethans not Cromwellians. OC didn't arrive until 1649.

To ancestory

Your great-grandmother was possibly Josie Breen married to James Wade. Josie was one of four siblings: Josie, Alice, Bridget and Michael. Alice was my grandmother and Tommy Wade was my second cousin. I don't know their mother's name. Also, if you go back further there was William Wade born 1844 and married to Mary Kennedy who was French but adopted by the Kennedy family at the age of 3 via the nuns at Rosscrea Abbey who were big into selling babies - did you see the film, Philomena starring Judy Dench? Hope this info helps.

May

I used visit Miss Lymbery when I was a child, with my mother and little sister. She lived alone in the C of I widows apartments, although she never married. She was a lovely old lady, very sweet. I didn't know the Lymbery family once owned Kilcop. Last person owned it was Mrs Bright - she used ride with the Gaulteer Hounds.

He gave land to the Goff family who then moved to Waterford.  He also wiped out the original Wexford population and restocked from the mainland so a lot of today's Wexford people are descent from the land grants.

My sister married a McLoughlin from Waterford but Ferrybank area rather than Butlerstown and I think the family originated in Northern Ireland so not sure if that helps.
