Any info about the family of William Temple Bowyer and his family
I know that one son, Thomas James Bowyer died during WW2 in India.
He was unmarried.

Probably the best expert on Rockingham Forest and all it's aspects is Peter Hill. His 1998 book Rockingham Forest Revisited published by Orman is a mine of information. I think it is now out of print but can be found in local libraries in Northants and may be available via Amazon. It is A4 size, paperback and has 173 pages.

Thank you for your info. You have been a great help.

Can anyone now tell me where "Crimea", Derbys. was and what it became or returned to.
I don't seem to be able to find any trace of it.
I do know that the 45th & 95th Foot Regiments (Derbyshire) fought in the Crimean War and presume this was named to commemorate their actions.
Does anyone have the details?

I am looking for help to find the following SEWELL brothers:
John, Johnson and Josiah. All born in Langham, Rutland in 1842, 1849 and 1851. I believe they came to work in the iron foundries.
John in particular, he married Jane DOOLEY in 1876 and they had two sons, John Alfred b 1878 and Percy Benjamin b 1888
Any information will be appreciated.
