Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: 1851 census lookup please - thomas robinson

Casbob,
I think I correct in saying that lookups on the 1851 census can only be done by place, not individual (ie the names are not indexed - only street names).

I think you will find that you might need to supply at least the district, and possibly even some street names. Do any of your b/m/d certificates give any addresses that can be checked?

Good luck
(I won't be able to help - I only have Liverpool for 1851 - sorry)

Family History Beginners Board / Residence at Time Of Marriage
« on: Tuesday 30 November 04 10:08 GMT (UK)  »
During my research, I have come across several marriage certificates which give the same address for the bride and groom prior to marriage. On at least 2 occaisions I know this to be untrue - they did not share the same address.

Can anyone suggest why the same address might be recorded for both of them? Also is there any significance to those certificates that show a road name, but no actual address?

Many thanks in advance

Bob

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 Lookup - Liverpool (Moody)
« on: Tuesday 30 November 04 10:04 GMT (UK)  »
Hello there.
I have a marriage certificate for John Cunningham and Elizabeth Moody dated 27/4/1842, Which states that prior to marriage they were both resident in Pall Mall, Liverpool.
Elizabeth's father was Peter Moody, a Coppersmith.

Would it be possible with that information for some kind soul to do a search of the 1841 census to see if I can find out what the Pall Mall address was?

Many thanks

Bob

Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / Re: 1871 Lookup Liverpool (Cunningham/Horan)

Hi Crystal, and thanks
Unfortunately the ages given on the marriage cert are just "Full".
Thomas father was John Cunningham, and Jane's was Patrick Horan.

The 1881 census gives the ages in the household as follows:

Thomas 28
Jane 31
John 2
Peter 4 months

Thanks again

Bob

I have a birth certificate for Thomas Cunningham (Son of John and Elizabeth) in April 1852, with the adress given as "Almond Street" which I believe is in the Mount Pleasant district.

I'd appreciate it if someone could lookup the street for me to see if they can find an entry for the Cunningham family in the 1851 census.

Many thanks in advance

Bob

It is possible to lookup the address online at
http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.jsp?URL=/StaticPageServlet%3FrType%3DADR and will then cost you about 50 to view the details for that address.

Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / 1871 Lookup Liverpool (Cunningham/Horan)
« on: Sunday 14 November 04 18:18 GMT (UK)  »
I have a couple of lookup requests for the 1871 Liverpool census if someone can help.

1. I have a wedding certificate for Thomas Cunningham and Jane Horan in 1874 which gives both their addres at time of marriage as Fox St (Liverpool).
Would it be possible for someone to look in the 1871 for Fox Street (no other details I'm afraid) to see details of either family (I'm assuming it will be the Horan's but who knows?)

2. In the 1881 census, Thomas' father (John Cunningham) was living in 5 Burnet(t) Street., Liverpool.
Can you see if that was the case in 1871 too?

Many thanks in advance

Bob

Shell,
Thats wonderful thank you very much.
I'd love a copy of the scan if that's possible, (especially for the 16yr old)

Once again thank you so much.

Bob

Shell,
I don't know if You're able to check the 1851 census, but as I said earlier, John married Elizabeth Moody.
I now know that in 1866 they christened a child (sarah) in the parish of St James The Lesser (according to parish records) but I don't know the address. Not sure where this is in terms of electoral districts but it might help.

Thanks

Bob
