Hertfordshire Lookup Requests / CRANSTON, Alfred and Hannah - Ship To America
« on: Saturday 24 January 15 21:55 GMT (UK)  »
Would someone be able to help me find this couple's departure to America?

Their first child Charles was born in Hertford in 1853.

Their second child Alfred Henry was born in New York in 1855.

So they sailed probably in 1854.

And it looks like their child Henry was born in New York in 1855, so that puts them sailing in 1854 probably.

Thanks for your help on this.  I'll close this topic now.

Yes!  Thank you so much.

Now I wonder if they went to America a few years later.  Any ideas how to determine that?

Married in 1849 in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, but possibly moved afterwards.
Hannah born 09Aug1821 to William and Sally Nainby.
Alfred possibly born 23Feb1816 (not sure).

If anyone can find Alfred B Cranstone, and his wife Hannah, in the 1851 census, I'd sure appreciate it.  I believe they were Quakers.

Thanks

I'd like for us to e-mail each other, but you don't want to put your e-mail address here.  We'll exchange e-mail addresses via a PM so that it's just between you and me.
So send a couple more posts right away and then we'll be able to do that.
Are you just beginning the family history?
