Hi there, still researching but on other tree branches now 😊.  If your Grandad was Chelsea I'm guessing you must be related too Louie or Ellen? I think you must have the right Taylor's and yes there are tons of Edwin's and Emily's..so quite confusing coupled with differing ages reported on Census etc!

how exciting i'm definatly related to your friend. My grandmother is Chelsea's sister Gladys. Chelsea was his nickname his whole life. Done quite a bit on the family tree, especially the Taylors, so i will drop you a note. Have quite a few photos too .  :)

dont go back too square one !! Emily Blenham is the right one i ordered the marriage cert. She lied about her age  , on all the census !! and had children quite young. I know the details of the taylor family better and was able to cross reference the marriage cert. I must be related to your friend, ..are they related to one of the Taylor children born to Emily and Edwin ?? Good luck with your research, it can be so tricky !! :)

hello, you could also try www.friendsreunited.co.uk. Especially if you are dealing with unusual names and you know the rough area they were living in. best of luck.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Elusive great Uncle, Prison records?
« on: Thursday 13 November 08 18:01 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, i have discovered a relative born 1898 in london  (died i think in the 1930's or 40's) . He seems very elusive. Family stories from very old relatives say he was 'a free spirit' disappeared and reappeared all the time, noone seemed to know where he was when he was alive. There is also rumour he went to Australia for 2 years. Where would i find out if he had actually been in prison  - for the times when he kept disappearing? Many thanks

( am new too research and still finding all the best places!!) many thanks

many thanks for your posts...yes the Emily in 1901 is my great grandmother. Seen there with the first of her and edwins children. The problem is i cant find her before 1901. There is another emily blenham listed in 1881 and 1891 but she seems too young ... again thanks for any help
