Hi Joe

I've just come across your message from 2016, I have a copy of Mary O'Reilly's birth record & she was born on the 14th September 1894. Her mother Johanna (O) Dwyer was baptised on the 15th of January 1863, her parents were Michael Dwyer & Johanna Barry. My grandfather James Dwyer is her brother.

I've only just seen this thread, hence the late reply! Can you give me the name of your grandmother? Mary & Michael O'Reilly's mother, Johanna Dwyer was the sister of my grandfather, James.

I've just found your post from 2016, Mary O'Reilly's mother, Johanna O'Dwyer is the sister of my grandfather, James O'Dwyer. I have Mary O'Reilly's birth as the 14th of March 1894. Did you manage to find her Marriage record?

I have the exact date of the marriage the 14th of June 1907 &  witnesses were Robert Buckley & Ellie Dawson, I probably got the info from visiting the church in Galbally. I'll send for the marriage record from the GRO & hopefully it will state if Michael (O)Dwyer was deceased.

Thanks for your help

Limerick / Michael Dwyer, Galbally

I've been trying for years to find a death or burial record for my gg grandfather Michael (O)Dwyer & his wife Johanna (nee Barry). They lived in different townlands in Galbally, I have this information from their children's baptism records. I know that that they were both still alive until 1881/82 as my grandfather, James, their youngest child was born in 1882. I've been over to Limerick twice researching my family but haven't been able to find any info on their deaths & have also visited the GRO in Dublin but no joy!

I did find the graves of my grandparents, James O'Dwyer & his wife Mary (nee) Buckley buried in separate graves, each with one of their sons in Ballylanders. I also spoke to a really nice lady at the Civil Registration Office but she couldn't find any records either!

Any help or suggestions gratefully received

Thanks Gail

I had Jane Atkins married to John Knight but I don't think they had any offspring, so your ancestor must be a different John Knight!

Thank you Steve

Their features are a lot clearer!

Gail, my gggg grandmother was Mary Atkins, she married Samuel Shilton in 1798 & I believe that Samuel was the witness to the marriage of John Knight & Jane Atkins. Have you found any further info on your John Knight?
