Could it be 'List G/a/1207'?

Compare the 'G' with the one in 'GALLACHER' and 'GORD.'.

My first guess was 'Clerk' and having read through, I see that several others have suggested this.

Good luck with your research!

Not too certain but could the second name have '...WICK' at the end - HAWICK/HOWICK?

Not too sure about the first name but could it end in 'ING'?

As for the second name, my vote would be for WATERS.

For what it's worth, the last letter in 'Connop' (as suggested by PrueM) certainly looks like the 'p' in 'Thompson'.

Sorry, should have added - 'Mantle Mkr', one who makes mantles for gas-lights!

A long-shot, I know, but could the Daughter possibly have been a 'Mantle Mkr'?

Good luck in your research.

Hello Barbara

Many thanks for letting me know about the COLLETT Family Research web page.

There is such a lot of information there to take in - I'll have to spend some time going through it.

With some invaluable help from a Rootschatter, I managed to find out a little more about Mary Ellen COLLETT and her Australian connection. Now, I need to see if there is anything more I can glean from the web page you alerted me to!

Many thanks - kind regards,

Lyn S
