Yes i am supposedly descended from Mathew (Matthew) Dancer who is the son of Joesph who supposedly  married Dorcas Stevens who would then be Mathew's mother.
 
Mathew (the son) born 1668-1701 married to Elizabeth Sherwood.  In the tree i have Joesph Dancer listed as his father and Matthew Dancer (b 1588) listed as his grandfather.

My tree goes like this:

My GGparents are Reuben Pizzey and Mary Ann timberlake 1852-1917

It is on the Timberlake side we run into the Dancers

we have James Timberlake 1821-1884

His father James Timberlake 1796-1861

His father Mathew Timberlake 1755-1796

His father Thomas Timberlake 1732-1759

His father William Timberlake 1695-1775 who is the one who marries Mary Dancer b. 30 Jul 1696  Monks, Buckinghamshire, , Englad  d. 1780  Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, , England 

Mary's father is Mathew Dancer b. 1668,13 Nov  Risborough, Buckinghamshire, , England d.1701 married to Ellizabeth Sherwood b. 1670


With Joesph |dancer and Dorcas Stevens as parents maybe?

Yeah thats why i don't trust this royal link, it doesn't match my family at all! 

So just thought i would post and see if anyone has any ideas on how to sleuth out this marriage.

Hello everyone, i have restarted researching my tree after great disappointment in 2009 when i discovered three close branches of my tree would never be know to me!

Onward and upward though.

I found royalty in my family but i won't believe it just yet!  So i need your super minds.

Dorcas Stevens (1610-1641) is meant to have married my relation Joesph Dancer (1610-1641)

Dorcas was born 18 Nov 1610  Quainton, Buckinghamshire, England

Joesph Dancer was born13 Nov 1610  Risborough, Buckinghamshire, , England

Dorcas Stevens is meant to be the daughter of Nicholas STEVENS B: 24 Apr 1563  Grandborough, Warwickshire, , England  D:1610  England.

This line of Stevens leads back into supposedly royalty but i can't find how people (other family trees on Ancestry.com.uk) have linked Dorcas and Joesph Dancer.

Hey everyone, sorry i havent been here for a little while, was just waiting for the certs to arrive. which they did today with interesting results.

I havent brought credits to view the 911 census get because i didnt like the matches.

But Millie B's Birth cert arrived today and lists the following details:

When and where born:
21 December 1912, Maternity Hospital 271 Mare Street, Hackney

Name if any:
Millie Barbara

Name and Surname of Father:
BLANK

Name surname and maiden name of mother:
Kate Eade (Domestic Servant) of 7 Montague Road, Acton

Occupation of Father:
BLANK

Signature, description and residence of informant:
Kate Eade, Mother, Maternity Hospital 271 Mare Road Hackney

When registered
31st December 1912

When I look up the options in the 1911 census for that address, it only lists EVEN numbers in MONTAGUE GARDEN ACTON, why cant I see the listing for number 7?

Does anyone know if this would have been a wealthy area in 1911/1912 because she is listed as a domestic with this address and I am wondering if this could be the address of Millie's Father.

As always thank you for your time and thoughts.

I can scan the original cert if needed.

PS: JAP you are definately not harping on about the Martyn's because finding the name of Millie's reall Father is my true goal.

A lot of hard work went into that.

And i can't see any mistakes, sorry if i appear absent, i am just absorbing the info, making sense of it and waiting to see if Kenedy (son of Kate and Morris) has any certs. or info to add to the debate.

But reading and watching with interest, just haven't got anything new to add at this time, but will share as soon as i get more info.
