I would think that RootsChat will eventually produce some positive results. Someone will eventually respond to my posts--maybe today, tomorrow, next week, next month or even a few years from now. It's sort of like playing a lottery. I recently answered a seven year old post on another message board and met a cousin living in Australia. We are both researching the same family and now we frequently exchange information via email.

In as few or less words as possible, that's how I like it. Just the facts ... only the facts .

Thanks, JustKia,
I just replied to my own post with the word UPDATED added with today's date and the post went to the top of the Westmeath message board. Apparently the word "new" only gets added when someone, other than myself ,replies to my post. :)

Just by finding new cousins and people, who share similar family research, keeps my interest in genealogy alive. I found about four new cousins online this year and it has been very delightful exchanging old photos, letters, news items, and vital records information with them. :)

That would make it easier than re-posting the whole thing all over again. :)

When a user adds additional information and / or makes corrections to one of their older posts, will the word new appear after a post in order to let viewers know that the original post was changed?
