Hi All
I would like to update you of my findings re the above sisters.
I have now found that Florence married Isaiah McKenzie (police Officer)who was born in Chesterville Ontario Canada in 1905. He lived most of his life in Michigan and they were married in Panama Canal Zone in 1930. He died in Christobel Colon Panama in 1962.
Florence died 1971 Trenton Wayne Michigan .Before she married she travelled (with her sister Jane E Smith) .I have a total of 20 plus voyages they made together.
Hope this is of interest .

Hi Shelly
Thanks for your help but I know that the sisters visited England around 1948
So the couldn't have perished in 'Pearl Harbour'
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Brionne
Thank you for your interest in my family.
In the 1911 census Sarah an Barrett (my g grandmother) had a boarding house in Blackpool.
Jane E and Florence (Florrie) lived there together with Eldred Smith.
Jane married Eldred in 1912 and he died in 1914.I have a copy of his will and her left his money to his widow (Jane) and a mr Ernest J White ( cashier),
After the death of Eldred the two sisters ( and occasionally mr White)went travelling, mainly too and from Hawaii.
Between1919and 1927 I have 15 ships manifests with their names on.
I also have an 'alien cert'dept of labor for Jane when she arrived in Honolulu in 1922 on the 'sonomo' fromSydney.
My family have told me that one of the sisters married a military man but I can't find any proof. They came to visit us in the early 1940's but we missed them. An auntie told me.  They came from Honolulu and looked very affluent.
Thanks again for your interest

Hi All
Still looking for info on Jane E Smith and Florence Barrett (sisters)
JANE E ( Born Barrett) 1884 Kidderminster
Married Eldred Smith in 1912 (he was born 1879 Leigh Lancs and died 1914 Fylde)
FLORENCE (Flo) born 1898 Halifax

After the death of Eldred the two sisters travelled extensively finally settling (I think) in Hawaii
I have lots of info on their sailings 1919-1927 but have now drawn a blank.
Please look at my previous posts if you think you can help.
