Hi Bob, so great to get you're message. Yes, we are in New Zealand, we live in Greymouth down on the west coast where our New Zealand Stewarts came to. Our e-mail is * If you would like to send an e-mail to there it would be awesome. Would love to share info with you, we just love finding and learning new stuff on the stewart line, we haven't been able to find much new stuff for quite some time. We have loads of information on the Stewarts that came to New Zealand, and also the scotland Stewarts, we look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards Paul & Amy Stewart.

Hiya, Thanks for the post. It is for the 1861 census, and it says "Felshers Land Store Gate " for address. And Storegate, Old Kilaptrick was his place of death in 1885. I would try a local Library, but we're all the way over in New Zealand, so is a bit tricky!!

Hi folks,
Have hit a brick wall. I have a John Stewart & Janet Thomson married in stirling July 1807. They had 7 children William b 1808 John 1810 Janet 1815 Margaret 1818 John 1819 Andrew 1821 Andrew1824 Obiously 1 john and 1 andrew died as children,  they were all baptised at St Ninians, Stirlingshire, anyone who could do lookups and give any help would be greatly appreciated.

Names of interest are Stewart, Thomson, Livingstone, McArthur, Cochran, Keown, Mainly all of scotland

Wondering if anyone can help me out with a place name I have from one of my ancestors census records, their address is "Felshers Land or Lane? in Storegate Old Kilpatrick. It is for a William Stewart and his wife Mary and Family, and William also had a Cooper store in Storegate, and employed 2 men and 2 boys. Does this sound familiar to anybody? I have looked up the place on Google earth, and have also done many searches on google with different spellings and no luck. Hope someone can help thanks!

Was also wondering if anyone can help me out, I have a place called Storegate, in old kilpatrick, down on a few census sheets, but I cannot find this place anywhere! Any ideas? I think it was felshers land/lane aswell

Hello again Anne, thanks very much for the stewart stuff! Unfortunately none of them fit my lot! Are there anymore stewarts in it? I can give you some more names if you like!! You do a wonderful thing for people like us in NZ that dont have the resources!
