Antrim / Re: Crawford & Strahan anyone
« on: Wednesday 28 March 18 21:42 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,

It's been many years since there was any activity on this subject so I know this is a long shot.

I have several Strahan (along with half a dozen spelling variations) which have come up as DNA matches.  They all come back to Samuel and sister Ann (wife of Robt Crawford Ballycregagh).
I've done a lot of work on this, but have hit a brick wall.

RE: Samuel Strahan b ca 1790 and Mary McIntyre.
I have a Jane Strahan b ca 1821 died 1893 Ballymena RD who married Robert Buick.  Her husband Robert, Craigs farmer,  has a will on PRONI site 14 Jan 1886.
Is there a researcher out there who can confirm Jane (noting source) as a daughter of Samuel/Mary?

Any assistance is appreciated.

While this does not relate to James Millar it does relate to the Millar's of Magherabeg.
Has anyone identified the Annie E/Anne Eliza Millar from the 1901/1911 Magherabeg/Sharvogues census?  Entry is posted below.  According to her obit she was 102 years of age at the time of her death and resided at her farm in Magherabeg/Randalstown.  She had 6 living children-3 who had gone to America and a son who died 6 months prior to her death.  A daughter was residing with her when she died.  Ann Eliza member of O. C. Presbyterian Church Randalstown.  I have no date on this newspaper clipping but estimate her death ca 1938 based on the age of 65 yrs in 1901.

Has anyone placed the children of Moses Paul/Elizabeth Hyndman of Lisbreen, Co Antrim  in Kendall County, IL or Cook County, IL by 1860?

Someone may find this useful.  I'm not a Paul researcher but one of the daughters of Moses Paul/Eliz Hyndman married into the Millar/er line I'm researching.  I noted these entries in 2007 while visiting the PRONI.

MIC 1P/76 – Broughshane #1 & #2
1837, 24 May Joseph chr, son of Moses and Mary Paul of Lisbreen
1838, 7 Jan John chr, son of Moses and Elizabeth Paul of Lisbreen
1838, 4 Dec Jas Brown chr, son of Moses & Sarah Paul
1839, 1 Dec Ann Jane chr, dau of Moses & Nancy Paul of Lisbreen

Good Luck
