I have a Sarah Bignold in my tree, but born in  Whitechapel, Middlesex and a John  Austen is one of the executors of a Will of an Edward Bird Wearing, also of Bethnal Green Middlesex.    Any interest?    monewman

Hi T, thanks for the info.   Since my last  posting have now got the marriage certificate for Anna Garrish and William Burch, which shows Ann's father as being John Garrish. with Thomas Dicker and Sarah Burch as Witnesses.   Found an Anna Garrish on the IGI Index -

  She was christened on 14 August 1831 at Chagford Devon. Father John Garrish, mother Mary - no other info. It sounds like ours (?)
