Most of the Brakefield's come from around the Goudhurst area in Kent. The earliest I have found is in 1620.
Around the early part of the 1800 they moved a little further afield. Louisa's family did come from Goudhurst and went to Southwark in the late 1700. There are Brakefield's in America from a descendant of my line and I email two of their ascendances. We have three convicts sent to Australia one was murdered out there but I have found no children from these guys.
I am related to the Brakefields of Kent and would like to exchange information (if possible). I'm related through the John Brakefield + Ann Judge line - more specifically, through their daughter Sarah's family.
