Hi Pat,
Yes I am still around and still trying to trace my ancestors.
Your message is confusing for me as I am perplexed that your surname is Saunders yet you are descended from Isa, whom I presumed married and her name may change, usually does.
I have an Isabella Kennedy Saunders on my database. She was the Daughter of Richard Saunders, born 1876 died 1958 married to Isabella Hainey. Is this part of your ancestral line? if so then we have common Great - Great - Great Grandparents.
Jim Saunders.

Hello.

Robert McCrorie married Margaret Adair in Carrickfergus 26 June1874. They are my Great Great Grandparents.
They moved to Irvine, Ayrshire and resided at 86 Fullarton Street, Irvine.
They had two children, Mary Ann and Samuel (my Great Grandfather).
Samuel Married Helen Findlay and had two Children, Jean and Maggie.
Jean (my grandmother) married James Cunningham in 1922 in East Benhar, West Lothian (now completely gone). Moved to Whitburn, West Lothian.
They had five children,
Ellen (my Mother)
Jean
Robert
Agnes
Jamesina (Jem).
Ellen married John Paton Scott Saunders in 1949.

Hope this is useful.
Best Regards,
 Jim

Hi,
I am the ggrandson of John & Mary Saunders. Grandson of James Scott Saunders. Which I reckon is the brother of your grandfather, Samuel.
I have been in touch with Anne from America as you suggested. She has been very helpful and provided a great deal of information. I have tried to go further back but I failed to get anywhere. As I am now retired I have decide  to try and find out as much information about our common ancestors, .James & Mary, why they left Annbank a and settled in Armadale, what journey they took at the time, how they travelled. To help me add more detail to the family tree I am developing could you advise of your branch?
Best Regards,
Jim

Hi Neil

Is your Mum's name Betty who lives in Utah & a sister called Ann who lives in Arizona by any chance? If the answer is yes then I'm pretty sure Jim may have already been in touch with them (that's if it is the same Jim who's my Dad's cousin).

I'm the Grand-daughter of Samuel Scott Saunders and GGrand-daughter of John Paton Saunders & Mary Scott Saunders.

Kind regards
Marjory
