Cumberland / Joseph Skillicorn
« on: Sunday 03 October 21 19:54 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to trace the Perrantes of Joseph Skillicorn Dob Around 1860? Date of Death 1908 South Africa.
I have a marriage certificate from 1883  he was married to Jane Hodgeson and was 28 with a dob 1865 I know he went to south Africa in 1894 from a passenger list and from a cutting in a news paper but his age was down as 26 which gives a DoB 1858
Joseph was an iron miner from Cleator in Cumberland
His father from the Marriage Certificate went by the name of John Skillicorn he was a lead minor and also from Cleator
I have a census from 1861 with John as father and Racheal  mother and one from 1881 with a miss spelling (killicorn) but don't really know if I'm barking up the right tree any advice would be gratefully  received
Thank you for your time I'm confused  A Hermann
