I'm trying to discover the Baptism and Burial information for Charles Shirley Cadman, an ancestor of mine on the maternal side, whom may well have originated in Edgware, Middlesex around the turn of the 18th century.  He evidently died at around the same time as his wife, Mary, sometime during or before 1832 the cause of which I haven't been able to establish. Mary was recorded as having been buried at Heath parish church, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire on 13th February 1827. However, we do know that their orphaned son, Charles George Cadman, at the age of 9 years, was Baptised in the parish church at Heath, near Chesterfield, as arranged by the boy's maternal grandparents following the demise of his own parents.  These grandparents were William and Ann Hay (or Hays) long-time residents in the village of Heath, who took it upon themselves to raise their grandson, Charles George, to adulthood.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Derbyshire / Charles Shirley Cadman - deceased 1832

Seeking B/M/B information from Parish registers in the Chesterfield area. Charles Shirley Cadman died in 1832 and, around the same time, his wife Mary Cadman (nee Hay) also died. Their orphaned son, Charles George Cadman (aged 9 years) is believed to have been baptised in Heath village parish church on 25th December 1832 as arranged by Charles George's grandparents, William and Ann Hay.  The latter couple raised the orphan boy to adulthood. The boy's deceased parents may have earlier resided in Edgware, Middlesex but no-one has been able to find out where and when they died and were buried, which may not necessarily have been in the Chesterfield district.  I am fully aware of the more recent Cadmans of this branch of the family and of their relationship with each other.   Any help regarding Charles Shirley Cadman's marriage and burial details would be very much appreciated in order to discover whom -his- parents were. Thank you.

The Common Room / Cadman family of north London

I am researching the 'Cadman' family of Tottenham or Edmonton, north London. I'm very pleased with the keen response that I've received so far from family history enthusiasts and hobbyists and for the useful information that they have come up with.  I am now hoping to hear from a 'bona fide' Cadman family member.

My late mother, Margery Ambridge (nee Cadman) and her two sisters, Lucy, and (half-sister) Ethel are, it seems, all now deceased. An 'Ethel M. Dunbar' (nee Cadman) apparently features in two family trees on Genesunited.com and I would welcome contact with the originator(s) of those "trees" in the hope of being able to trace the present-day whereabouts of Ethel's children.
My mother's father would also have been their grandfather, except I never had the opportunity of ever meeting my maternal grandparents nor their mother (my aunt), Ethel.

London and Middlesex / Cadman family of north London

Hi, I'm trying to track down the family of my late mother. I never met my maternal grandparents. My mother's maiden name was Margery Maud Cadman (b. 02-12-10) believed to have lived in Tottenham, north London probably within a triangular area of Bruce Grove, Broad Lane and Tottenham Hale during the period 1910-30 (approximately). I was never told by her the christian names of her parents.

All I know is that her father allegedly served in World War One possibly at Dardanelles (Turkey) which he survived and that his occupation was a "Journeyman Balloonist" with Short Brothers (now Short Brothers and Harland) then manufacturers of Aerial Balloons and early aircraft. Although I can be by no means certain, the roads: Tynemouth Road and Antill Road, Tottenham, London N.15 may possibly have been where my mother's parents lived although I may have heard mention of these two roads in some other connection.  My mother attended Page Green School, at or near Bruce Grove, Tottenham.
My mother had two siblings: a sister, Lucy, aged about 5 years her junior and an even younger half-sister, Ethel.
This is about the extent of my knowledge of my mother's family and, therefore, any information about them would be greatly appreciated.
