Hello all,
Can anyone help or make a suggestion please.
My grt x 2 grandfather a James Clark has finally and I mean finally let me know he isn't just from Scotland, all census from 1871-1901. 1911 census he has finally put argyshire, now to many of you this doesn't mean a lot but to myself and another very distant relative this is gold. James abt 1847 ends up in lambeth and marries a Harriett loveland 1871. His occupation is a porter believed to be Railway. He then spends some time in Holborn and mostly marylebone and his occupation is now a brewers drayman.
He states his fathers name on his marriage cert as a John Clark, and john's occupation is a slatequarry worker. There is a likely family in ballachulish but another researcher said this was her family and her James goes onto marry in Scotland. I am hoping she is wrong and this family is mine, I really want it to be.
Any suggestions.
