Merionethshire / Alice Jones Dolgelly
« on: Wednesday 25 May 16 11:36 BST (UK)  »
After spending several years tracking the wrong 'Jones' family, I would request some help.  Is anyone out there related to Alice Jones of Henfelin, Dolgelly?  According to the 1901 census she was living as Head of family with 4 children - Caroline (6), David (3), Evan (8) and Baby Sarah (0).
I am hoping that David is my Grandfather, as Evan was killed in WW1 and his name is on the War Memorial in Dolgelly - the only information I have about my grandfather.

Merionethshire / Wille Jones, Park Lane Dolgelly War Memorial
« on: Friday 22 June 12 11:07 BST (UK)  »
Hello, on the War Memorial in Dolgelly is the name Willie Jones, Park Lane.  From my research this is my Great Uncle.

I think he lived at 3 Park Lane, son of Mary Ellen Jones (nee Williams) who married David Henry Jones. But when looking for more information someone has posted that he lived at 12 Park Lane, son of Richard and Susanah Jones.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Linda Jones.

Merionethshire Lookup Requests / Cadwalader and Jane Jones, Trawsfynydd
« on: Monday 04 June 12 18:40 BST (UK)  »
Hi, could someone please help me with the place of burial of my GGG grandparents,  Jane Jones b.1818 d.1853, living at Wern Bach, Trawsfynydd and Caldwalder Jones b.1812 d.1882 living at Islawr Coed, Trawsfynydd.  I have recently returned from the area and tried my hardest to search the churchyard at Trawsfynydd but was unable to find anything.  Both deaths were registered at Festiniog.

Many thanks.  Linda Jones.

« on: Sunday 14 February 10 18:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi everyone

Can someone please check for me if my grandfather was called up for military service in WW1? Only just joined FindMyPast where I can't get records and not able to join Ancestry quite yet!

Name David John Jones, born 21/8/1900 in Machynlleth, though living in Dolgellau from 1911 onwards.

Many thanks.
