I'm looking for descendants of one Douglas John Lawler. Born in Birmingham in August 1919. Doug's parents were (I think) Thomas Patrick and Nellie Lawler. Nellie's maiden name was White and she was born and raised in the Black Country. I think Tom came from Ireland originally. They were married in 1916. unfortunately Doug was killed in action while flying Lancaster bombers and is still missing to this day. I have traced 4 of the 7 man crew and would love to find what family of his survives to this day. I believe Doug had a sister and she kept in touch with Doug's wife Stella. Stella sadly passed away in late 2004.

World War Two / Looking for war hero
« on: Tuesday 15 May 12 02:42 BST (UK)  »
Hi.
I am researching the story of a gallant group of young airmen killed while flying as Pathfinders in the closing weeks of World War Two...

One of their number was Flight Lieutenant George Alexander James Morrison. He was a Flight Engineer with 156 Squadron....

I've tried Ancestry.com...but without his birthdate, there's not much I can find...bit like looking for the needle in the haystack....and I don't know where he was born either.....two of the most important pieces of information!!!

War Graves website is also sparce with information....no age given or anything else.....

Can anyone help me??
