Hi,

Is there anyone who lives near or is visiting the records office in Conway Caernarvonshire?

If so could I ask a favour? I Would like the details for a Eunice May Williams who died on the 2 Oct 1959. in Llandudno. It states the district as Conway. I would like to know the person that was present at death if that is recorded.

Glamorganshire / William Matthews Born 1826 Swansea
« on: Sunday 14 February 16 11:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

My 2 x G.Grandfather William Matthews was born in Swansea Abt 1826. he married Sarah Smith and from their marriage certificate I know his father is Abraham Matthews. I found William on the 1841 census with Abraham Matthews and Jennet Matthews (nee Richard)and though Abraham and Jennet were both in their sixties I thought they could be his parents but recently I have found another Abraham Matthews who could actually be his father. So Abraham and Jennet are his Grandparents. The reason for the doubt is that 3 of William and Sarah's children were born between 1861-1865 in Sirhowy. The new Abraham lives in Sirhowy but was from Swansea. Abraham wife in Sirhowy is much younger that him so is not William's mother but their children's names are names which also appear often in the generations. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a marriage for Abaham and Martha or births for their children Margaret (1861), Martha (1863), Isaac (1867) and Jacob (1870). I know the Abraham dies between 1871 and 1881 but the only death I can find is in Crickhowell. If you lived in Sirhowy could your death be registered in Crickhowell? Does anyone have any suggestions how I can confirm or otherwise my theory that this is Williams father?

Kent / Peabody/Anderson
« on: Saturday 24 March 12 15:20 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have discovered some photos on my computer of a family I have no connection to. Not sure how they got there but there are four photos the first is titled Peabody-Cameron and Jean Clare Anderson. The second is Prentice Salt-Naomi and Daniel, The third is Amanda and Ian and last one is not named but it is of three children two girls and a boy.

I have found the family on the web and I now know that Cameron Peabody was born 1901 Sevenoaks and married Jane Clare Anderson. Their son was Daniel, Amanda and Ian are Cameron's children from his second marriage and Naomi was Cameron's mother.

If you have a connection to the family and would like these photos please let me know.  :)

Hi,

Does anyone have access to the records for the Tenterden Union Workhouse? I am trying to find the records for Bethsula, Frances, Mary & Jane Goddard who were all in the workhouse in 1841. I would like to know when they entered and left the workhouse and if possible try to find out how they came to be there.

Hi,

Is there anyone going to the Nottingham record offices? I wonder if you could help me?

I am trying to find out the parents of Catherine Winfield and Richard Burton who married on the 25th December 1833 St Marys, Nottingham. I don't know whether the details of parents were entered on the the parish records in 1833 but I thought it was worth a try.

cheers

Wales / Margaret Edwards Swansea
« on: Friday 05 August 11 19:40 BST (UK)  »
Is anyone going the Swansea Central Library in the near future and could a look up for me?

In the Cambrian Index is report of a death of a Margaret Edwards she died on 22 Mar 1850 aged 25. The wife of John Edwards.

What I am hoping is if someone is going to the Library they could have a look at the death notice and see if there are any details of her death.

Keeping my fingers crossed
